Life.....currently

Almost a month since my last post. I've been waiting for something exciting to write about.....oh well. I guess I'll just update you on life for me right now. Let's see.....I started my second semester at school. Math 017, English 101, and Beginning Tennis, which starts in April. School's going good....my teachers are both good....I like my math teacher the best though. My english teacher says "like" almost every other word. Okay, maybe not that much, but it sure feels like it! Oh yeah...I declared my major....music! Going for an Associate of Arts degree in Music.
Umm....I am not working....got laid off in December and haven't gotten another job. Though I may not get one because I won't be here most of the summer anyway! This summer I will be going overseas to live in Trinidad for a month and a half with our missionaries, Gary and Brenda Hunter. I'm extremely excited about this amazing opportunity that God has placed in my life.My mom is coming down with only child syndrome though...she asks me at least once a week if i'm sure that I want to go. I assure her every time the I do indeed want to go =] She loves me.....can't complain about that!! =]
Hmm...what else....I have a boyfriend. Shawn deWit. we actually dated over a year ago...it wasn't the right time....so I broke it off. Broke his heart...but we slowly became the best of friends...and are now dating again. NOW is the right time. Valentines day was fun this year. Went to dinner at Applebees and then went to see the movie "The Uninvited." It was amazing......great psychological twist at the end.Has a bit of language in it that was not needed....but other than that....I recommend you go see it!
Hmm...i'm not sure what else to write about. Hmm......my current tv obsessions are NCIS and Criminal Minds. Current book obsession is the Twilight series. I think i've become more obsessed with Music since I became a music major too. I think that's all for now.....didn't expect to write this much...well...to write at all actually. But I love to write and once I start it's hard to stop. But I am stopping. Ciao for now ;-)

Hello, Hello, Hello

I can't believe it's 2009 already! The years seem to go by faster and faster all the time. But then that's like age. I'll be 18 in June, and I really can't believe it. There are so many things in life that I feel ready for, but at the same time I know that i'm really not. It's a strange feeling. Growing up, I mean. Somewhere in just this past year, I seem to have crossed that invisible line. You know, the one you cross when you grow up, become an adult. Even though i'm not legally an adult yet, I feel as though I am inside. I know i'm not a child anymore, and while that scares me a little, it also excites me! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me. But I also know it's important to be patient and take it one step, one day, at a time. I need to learn and remember that everything won't happen on my time. It has to be on God's time. I will never stop learning. And it amazes me <3

Another year gone.....

Another year has gone. And boy has it been a great one! So many things have happened, I can't even name them all. But it was a fantastic year for me. I have changed so much, and learned so much as well. I still can't believe it's 2009; I'll be 18 this year! I made great friends this year, and lsot some, but that's life, right? =] I hope this year will be as great as last year!

Williamsburg

So, this past weekend my parents and I went down to Colonial Williamsburg for the Grand Illumination. It was INSANE. We got there Friday and stayed at the coolest little resort. We ate at Christiana Cambells that night and oh man. The food was amazing, as always. Saturday we walked around a whole lot, and Sunday too. And when we came back Sunday night for the Grand Illumination, it..was...packed! And boy, do I mean PACKED. There was hardly any walking room. You had to shove your way through the streets. And we finally made it to this back street behind the Capitol when they started the fireworks. and boy, those Fireworks were totally awesome! Some of the best I have ever seen! Ciao until next time!

So little time, so much to do

So much has been going on in my life lately! I started working and I am completely loving that! my co workers are all really nice and it's so much fun to have a job and be working and earning money. Fall semester is almost over; only 3 more classes to go! I can't believe how fast my first semester went! Spring will be here before I know it and then the madness will start again!

Last week we welcomed Summer Anne Canfield into the family. She's a beautiful little girl! The picture is of her =]
I can't think of much more to write about. I think that's all my news for now. Until next time......

I've been slowly job hunting since last June...maybe before. I can't remember. Anyways.....I loved my first day, and i'm pretty sure i'm gonna like working there. Come see me some time. Warning though: I WILL treat you like a customer =]

Okay, so, I know that God is in control. Really, I do. And I know that he let Obama become President for a reason. I just really wish I knew that reason! I still can't believe he won. Well, no, scratch that. I can believe it. I'm jsut so disgusted by it I don't want to believe it. I don't even want to live in this country anymore. I just went down to DC Saturday. It was a gorgeous day, and I could see the White House from the Washington Monument. But I kept wondering "Who's gonna be living there next?" And now that I know, i'm truly disappointed in this country. It seems that America is going against everything she was started with. I wonder what our founding fathers would think about this. After all they did...and now this. At least we still have God, and he will never forsake us, or this country. No matter what she does and how hard she opposes our Father. God will be with us until the ends of the earth. He's the true ruler, and always will be.
